Code § 32-29.4-04","heading":"Arbitration agreement","body":"1.An arbitration agreement must:\na.Be in a record signed by the parties;\nb.Identify the arbitrator, an arbitration organization, or a method of selecting an arbitrator; and\nc.Identify the family law dispute the parties intend to arbitrate.\n2.An agreement in a record to arbitrate a family law dispute that arises between the parties before, at the time, or after the agreement is made is valid and enforceable as any other contract and irrevocable except on a ground that exists at law or in equity for the revocation of a contract.\n3.If a party objects to arbitration on the ground the arbitration agreement is unenforceable or the agreement does not include a family law dispute, the court shall decide whether the agreement is enforceable or includes the family law dispute.","path":["Title 32 Judicial Remedies","Chapter 32-29.4 Uniform Family Law Arbitration Act"],"source_url":"https://ndlegis.gov/cencode/t32c29-4.pdf","current_through":"2026-07-31T11:12:02","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T21:04:14Z","sha256":"171d538453bc937208a8ffe87bb95576b5049222ed11606d3873a2e325107727","source_id":"us-nd","stale":true,"prev":"us-nd/n.d.-cent.-code-32-29.4-03","next":"us-nd/n.d.-cent.-code-32-29.4-05"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
