Code § 32-29.4-10","heading":"Temporary order or award","body":"1.Before an arbitrator is selected and able to act, on motion of a party, the court may enter a temporary order in accordance with rule 8.2 of the North Dakota Rules of Court.\n2.After an arbitrator is selected:\na.The arbitrator may make a temporary award in accordance with rule 8.2 of the North Dakota Rules of Court; and\nb.If the matter is urgent and the arbitrator is not able to act in a timely manner or provide an adequate remedy, on motion of a party, the court may enter a temporary order.\n3.On motion of a party, before the court confirms a final award, the court under section 32-29.4-15, 32-29.4-17, or 32-29.4-18 may confirm, correct, vacate, or amend a temporary award made under subdivision a of subsection 2.\n4.On motion of a party, the court may enforce a subpoena or interim award issued by an arbitrator for the fair and expeditious disposition of the arbitration.","path":["Title 32 Judicial Remedies","Chapter 32-29.4 Uniform Family Law Arbitration Act"],"source_url":"https://ndlegis.gov/cencode/t32c29-4.pdf","current_through":"2026-07-31T11:12:02","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T21:04:14Z","sha256":"f27c2becb6873b2a5c360e02e4e6ea3d3fbd4b66e85d4fd53756fde786fcf0e0","source_id":"us-nd","stale":false,"prev":"us-nd/n.d.-cent.-code-32-29.4-09","next":"us-nd/n.d.-cent.-code-32-29.4-11"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
