Code § 39-10-29","heading":"Crossing at other than crosswalk","body":"1.Every pedestrian crossing a roadway at any point other than within a marked crosswalk or within an unmarked crosswalk at an intersection shall yield the right of way to all vehicles upon the roadway.\n2.Any pedestrian crossing a roadway at a point where a pedestrian tunnel or overhead pedestrian crossing has been provided shall yield the right of way to all vehicles upon the roadway.\n3.Between adjacent intersections at which traffic-control devices are in operation, pedestrians may not cross at any place except in a marked crosswalk.\n4.No pedestrian may cross a roadway intersection diagonally unless authorized by official traffic-control devices; and, when authorized to cross diagonally, pedestrians shall cross only in accordance with the official traffic-control devices pertaining to such crossing movements.","path":["Title 39 Motor Vehicles","Chapter 39-10 General Rules Of The Road"],"source_url":"https://ndlegis.gov/cencode/t39c10.pdf","current_through":"2026-07-31T11:12:02","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T21:04:14Z","sha256":"9d1b506fa98d3043508984a7aefa2c9057cf9f4b61d11465f7de90fd085875ac","source_id":"us-nd","stale":true,"prev":"us-nd/n.d.-cent.-code-39-10-28","next":"us-nd/n.d.-cent.-code-39-10-30"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
