Code § 4.1-07-09","heading":"Council - Powers","body":"The council may:\n1.Expend moneys collected pursuant to this chapter for its administration;\n2.Employ, bond, and compensate necessary personnel;\n3.Accept gifts, grants, and donations of money, property, and services, to carry out this chapter;\n4.a.Contract with the governmental entity that is responsible for administration of the dry pea and lentil assessment in another state or province and provide for:\n(1)The return by that governmental entity of any assessment charged on dry peas and lentils grown in this state; and\n(2)The return by the council of any assessment charged on dry peas and lentils grown in another state or province; and\nb.Contract with any person for any other purpose permitted under this chapter;\n5.Sue and be sued; and\n6.Do all things necessary and proper to enforce and administer this chapter.","path":["Title 4.1 Agriculture","Chapter 4.1-07 Dry Pea And Lentil Council"],"source_url":"https://ndlegis.gov/cencode/t04-1c07.pdf","current_through":"2026-07-31T11:12:02","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T21:04:14Z","sha256":"8e25d7a0f2e201ef320c095344db231752cc4ffadfeb943fdfa851f9ff1f82cf","source_id":"us-nd","stale":true,"prev":"us-nd/n.d.-cent.-code-4.1-07-08","next":"us-nd/n.d.-cent.-code-4.1-07-10"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
