Code § 4.1-16-02","heading":"Beekeeper's license - Application - Declaration","body":"1.Before a person may act as a beekeeper in this state, the person must be licensed by the agriculture commissioner.\n2.To obtain a beekeeper's license, a person must complete an application and submit it to the commissioner.\n3.The application must include:\na.The applicant's name, address, and telephone number;\nb.The maximum number of colonies to be located in or placed in this state; and\nc.The name, address, and telephone number of a resident agent who is authorized to accept service of process.\n4.As a condition of licensure, the applicant shall declare that:\na.An apiary will not be placed at a location without first obtaining the consent of the property owner; and\nb.An apiary will be relocated at the request of the agriculture commissioner if:\n(1)The commissioner, after examining documentary evidence, has determined that the health or welfare of an individual is endangered as a result of the apiary's location;\n(2)The individual referenced in paragraph 1 resides on land contiguous to that on which the apiary has been placed;\n(3)The commissioner has identified another acceptable location for placement of the apiary; and\n(4)There are no other contractual or other legal impediments to the relocation.","path":["Title 4.1 Agriculture","Chapter 4.1-16 Beekeeping"],"source_url":"https://ndlegis.gov/cencode/t04-1c16.pdf","current_through":"2026-07-31T11:12:02","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T21:04:14Z","sha256":"b62be0b154e8423e1ea0d82261770a6dff5418663300444aafb7b6a0b39807f0","source_id":"us-nd","stale":true,"prev":"us-nd/n.d.-cent.-code-4.1-16-01","next":"us-nd/n.d.-cent.-code-4.1-16-03"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
