Code § 4.1-20-07","heading":"Districts - Petition - Contents - More than one petition filed","body":"1.Any twenty-five qualified electors living within the limits of the area proposed to be organized into a district may file a petition with the state soil conservation committee asking that a soil conservation district be organized in the area described in the petition. The petition must set forth:\na.The proposed name of the district.\nb.The need for a soil conservation district to function in the area described in the petition.\nc.A description of the area proposed to be organized as a district.\nd.A request that the state soil conservation committee duly define the boundaries for the district, that an election be held within the defined area on the question of the creation of a soil conservation district in that area, and that the committee determine that such a district be created.\n2.When more than one petition is filed covering parts of the same area, the state soil conservation committee may consolidate all or any of such petitions.","path":["Title 4.1 Agriculture","Chapter 4.1-20 Soil Conservation"],"source_url":"https://ndlegis.gov/cencode/t04-1c20.pdf","current_through":"2026-07-31T11:12:02","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T21:04:14Z","sha256":"af0450c7f621eb2e311852f4298bf81bda84338bacc1a4512b23724d536ed28e","source_id":"us-nd","stale":true,"prev":"us-nd/n.d.-cent.-code-4.1-20-06","next":"us-nd/n.d.-cent.-code-4.1-20-08"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
