Code § 4.1-28-01","heading":"Definitions","body":"In this chapter, unless the context otherwise requires:\n1.\"Commissioner\" means the agriculture commissioner or the commissioner's designee.\n2.\"Internet livestock auction\" means a place or establishment conducted or operated for compensation or profit as a public market where livestock located in this state is sold or offered for sale at a facility or website within or outside the state through the use of the internet.\n3.\"Livestock\" means horses, mules, cattle, swine, sheep, farmed elk, and goats.\n4.\"Representative\" means a dealer licensed under chapter 4.1-83 or a livestock auction market licensed under chapter 4.1-27.\n5.\"Video livestock auction market\" means a place or establishment conducted or operated for compensation or profit as a public market where livestock located in this state is sold or offered for sale at a facility within or outside the state through the use of video at a public auction.","path":["Title 4.1 Agriculture","Chapter 4.1-28 Video Livestock Auction Markets"],"source_url":"https://ndlegis.gov/cencode/t04-1c28.pdf","current_through":"2026-07-31T11:12:02","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T21:04:14Z","sha256":"7a09314d4a4af1d20bf69837322c4ebc27f30801a33fdda07e042743f9987468","source_id":"us-nd","stale":false,"prev":"us-nd/n.d.-cent.-code-4.1-27-23","next":"us-nd/n.d.-cent.-code-4.1-28-02"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
