Code § 4.1-53-43","heading":"Requests for certification - Required submissions","body":"1.Any person may submit kinds, varieties, selections, and names of seed stock and request that the seed commissioner consider the submission for certification.\n2.To pursue certification, a person shall provide to the seed commissioner:\na.The name of the variety;\nb.A statement regarding the variety's origin and the breeding procedure or reproductive stabilization used in its development;\nc.A description of the morphological, physiological, or other characteristics that distinguish the variety from other varieties;\nd.Evidence supporting the identity of the variety;\ne.A statement regarding the geographic area of adaptation;\nf.A statement regarding plans and procedures for the maintenance of seed classes, including the number of generations through which the variety may be multiplied;\ng.A description of the manner in which the variety is constituted when a particular cycle of reproduction or multiplication is specified;\nh.Any additional restrictions on the variety specified by the breeder; and\ni.A sample of seed that is representative of the variety as marketed.","path":["Title 4.1 Agriculture","Chapter 4.1-53 Seeds"],"source_url":"https://ndlegis.gov/cencode/t04-1c53.pdf","current_through":"2026-07-31T11:12:02","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T21:04:14Z","sha256":"af2e4b09a66a0ec7bd86225f5e88dfb519da93f6e2263c41702ab4d28d942513","source_id":"us-nd","stale":true,"prev":"us-nd/n.d.-cent.-code-4.1-53-42","next":"us-nd/n.d.-cent.-code-4.1-53-44"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
