Code § 43-11-05","heading":"Officers of board - Powers - Rulemaking","body":"1.The members of the board annually shall elect a president and a secretary from the members of the board.\n2.The president and the secretary may administer oaths.\n3.The board shall:\na.Adopt and enforce rules to administer this chapter after collaborating with affected parties;\nb.Employ administrative staff and additional staff positions as needed;\nc.Set fees, manage funds, and authorize expenditures necessary for board operations;\nd.Collect and analyze data;\ne.Maintain a registry of licensees and registered individuals;\nf.Issue licenses for cosmetologists, estheticians, advanced estheticians, manicurists, instructors, establishments, independent licensees, and schools;\ng.Adopt and enforce rules for continuing competence of licensees and registrants;\nh.Regulate cosmetology practices; and\ni.Issue practice statements regarding the interpretation and application of this chapter.","path":["Title 43 Occupations And Professions","Chapter 43-11 Cosmetologists"],"source_url":"https://ndlegis.gov/cencode/t43c11.pdf","current_through":"2026-07-31T11:12:02","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T21:04:14Z","sha256":"186d812196ab904b2325a0337bfd3a637dc08ad341803724f8f8764e0fb4c507","source_id":"us-nd","stale":true,"prev":"us-nd/n.d.-cent.-code-43-11-04","next":"us-nd/n.d.-cent.-code-43-11-06"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
