Code § 43-29.1-03","heading":"Veterinarian selection criteria - Eligibility for loan repayment","body":"1.In establishing the criteria regarding eligibility for loan repayment funds under this chapter, the department of health and human services shall consider the applicant's:\na.Training in food animal veterinary medicine, ability, willingness to engage in food animal veterinary medicine, and the extent to which such services are needed in a selected community;\nb.Commitment to serve in a community that is in need of a veterinarian;\nc.Compatibility with a selected community;\nd.Date of availability for service to the selected community; and\ne.Competence and professional conduct.\n2.An applicant selected to receive loan repayment funds under this chapter:\na.Must have graduated from an accredited college of veterinary medicine;\nb.Must be licensed to practice veterinary medicine in this state; and\nc.Must be employed full-time in the private practice of veterinary medicine.\n3.A selected applicant shall contract to provide full-time veterinary medicine services for two, three, or four years in one or more selected communities.","path":["Title 43 Occupations And Professions","Chapter 43-29.1 Veterinarian Loan Repayment Program"],"source_url":"https://ndlegis.gov/cencode/t43c29-1.pdf","current_through":"2026-07-31T11:12:02","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T21:04:14Z","sha256":"47f25f15bd3e4891c04f77d64a6c7aba995f03825081d6bc5082e362aca97803","source_id":"us-nd","stale":true,"prev":"us-nd/n.d.-cent.-code-43-29.1-02","next":"us-nd/n.d.-cent.-code-43-29.1-04"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
