Code § 50-06-06.9","heading":"Insurance payments by the department","body":"Notwithstanding any other eligibility requirements for human services programs, the department, pursuant to rules adopted by the department, may pay health insurance premiums, copayments, and deductibles for a person with human immunodeficiency virus infection, or for any person maintaining a health insurance policy covering a person with human immunodeficiency virus infection if:\n1.The payment of premiums, copayments, and deductibles is determined to be a cost-effective alternative to the payment of future medical assistance and economic assistance costs for that person; and\n2.The department determines that the person is otherwise unable to afford the cost of the premiums, copayments, and deductibles.","path":["Title 50 Public Welfare","Chapter 50-06 Department Of Health And Human Services"],"source_url":"https://ndlegis.gov/cencode/t50c06.pdf","current_through":"2026-07-31T11:12:02","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T21:04:14Z","sha256":"c2f3eddd57578b2a2d2f4ffdd248ba67d2b5ec8523ff439912c8602cad22de91","source_id":"us-nd","stale":true,"prev":"us-nd/n.d.-cent.-code-50-06-06.8","next":"us-nd/n.d.-cent.-code-50-06-06.10"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
