Code § 50-06-33","heading":"Dementia care services","body":"As used in this section, \"client\" means an individual with symptoms in alignment with mild cognitive impairment or dementia and the individual's caregivers. The department shall contract with a private provider for a dementia care services program in each area of the state served by a state-operated behavioral health clinic. The dementia care services must include:\n1.Providing information to medical professionals, law enforcement, first responders, public health officials, and the public regarding:\na.The symptoms of Alzheimer's disease and related dementia;\nb.The benefits of early detection and diagnosis;\nc.Availability of treatments;\nd.Research opportunities; and\ne.Available services;\n2.Providing consultation services to assess biological, psychological, social, emotional, and spiritual needs;\n3.Facilitating the referral of clients; and\n4.Offering on demand training to direct care providers to manage and provide for the care of individuals with symptoms in alignment with mild cognitive impairment or dementia.","path":["Title 50 Public Welfare","Chapter 50-06 Department Of Health And Human Services"],"source_url":"https://ndlegis.gov/cencode/t50c06.pdf","current_through":"2026-07-31T11:12:02","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T21:04:14Z","sha256":"d85605fd43bba6dd96a0318368a4e2acf70c134dc9198836da57610c58d95880","source_id":"us-nd","stale":true,"prev":"us-nd/n.d.-cent.-code-50-06-32.1","next":"us-nd/n.d.-cent.-code-50-06-34"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
