Code § 50-09-31","heading":"Victims of domestic violence - Duties of state agency","body":"1.The state agency shall:\na.Inform all temporary assistance for needy families applicants and recipients of the options available under the domestic violence option;\nb.Screen all applicants to determine who are past or present victims of domestic violence or at risk of further domestic violence;\nc.Refer these individuals to a local domestic violence sexual assault organization for safety planning and supportive services; and\nd.Determine if good cause exists to waive work requirements or time limits on receipt of benefits for victims of domestic violence.\n2.For purposes of this section:\na.\"Domestic violence option\" means the provision of title IV-A under which a state may elect to implement a special program to serve victims of domestic violence.\nb.\"Domestic violence sexual assault organization\" has the meaning provided in section 14-07.1-01.\nc.\"Victims of domestic violence\" means a person subject to domestic violence as defined in section 14-07.1-01.","path":["Title 50 Public Welfare","Chapter 50-09 Aid To Dependent Children"],"source_url":"https://ndlegis.gov/cencode/t50c09.pdf","current_through":"2026-07-31T11:12:02","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T21:04:14Z","sha256":"3c9d0336bd9f75d1da99d88c78caabaa00fa31237353da2b8fcbd8f0829bd158","source_id":"us-nd","stale":true,"prev":"us-nd/n.d.-cent.-code-50-09-30","next":"us-nd/n.d.-cent.-code-50-09-32"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
