Code § 51-07-04.1","heading":"Defacing, destroying, or altering serial numbers on farm machinery - Penalty","body":"It is unlawful for any person to willfully:\n1.a.Deface, destroy, alter, or remove the serial number on any tractor, combine, cornpicker, or any other heavy farm machinery that carries a factory serial number; or\nb.Place or stamp other than the original serial number upon any tractor, combine, cornpicker, or any other heavy farm machinery that carries a factory serial number; and\n2.Sell or offer for sale any such heavy farm machinery bearing an altered or defaced serial number other than the original.
