Code § 54-01.1-01","heading":"Declaration of policy","body":"The purpose of this chapter is to establish a uniform policy for the fair and equitable treatment of persons displaced as a direct result of programs or projects undertaken by a state agency so that displaced persons will not suffer disproportionate injuries as a result of programs and projects designed for the benefit of the public as a whole and to minimize the hardship of displacement by the acquisition of real property by state and local land acquisition programs, by federally assisted building code enforcement programs, or by a program of voluntary rehabilitation of buildings or other improvements conducted pursuant to governmental supervision.
