Stat. § 2-1103","heading":"High-risk agricultural pathogen or pest; import prohibited, when.","body":"(1) Except as otherwise provided in this section, no person shall:\n(a) Knowingly import a high-risk agricultural pathogen or pest into this state; or\n(b) Import a high-risk agricultural pathogen or pest into this state with a conscious disregard of a substantial or unjustifiable risk that the high-risk agricultural pathogen or pest could cause significant harm to crops, livestock, or agricultural ecosystems.\n(2) A person may import a high-risk agricultural pathogen or pest into this state if such person possesses a permit or authorization for such importation from the department or the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service of the United States Department of Agriculture.","path":["Chapter 2 - AGRICULTURE"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=2-1103","current_through":"Laws 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-10-18T05:52:13Z","sha256":"c92754f3eccd56225ad0a9a094b25f4c764d84d58e2aadc4817fbe64531305fa","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-2-1102","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-2-1104"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
