Stat. § 21-510","body":"(a) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (b) of this section, the name of a protected series must be distinguishable in the records of the Secretary of State from:\n\n(1) the name of each person that is not an individual and that is incorporated, organized, or authorized to transact business in this state; and\n\n(2) each name reserved under section 21-109 or other state laws allowing the reservation or registration of business names, including fictitious or assumed name statutes.\n\n(b) The name of a protected series of a series limited liability company must:\n\n(1) begin with the name of the company, including any word or abbreviation required by section 21-108 ; and\n\n(2) contain the phrase Protected Series or protected series or the abbreviation P.S. or PS.\n\n(c) If a series limited liability company changes its name, the company shall deliver to the Secretary of State for filing a statement of designation change for the company’s protected series, changing the name of each protected series to comply with this section.","path":["NE Code","Chapter 21"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=21-510","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"684629ca9c843d503d11235e357e8099d9937735ba246f3e3215b128d3f131d5","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-21-509","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-21-511"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
