Stat. § 25-1645","body":"The Legislature hereby declares that it is the intent and purpose of the Jury Selection Act to create a jury system which will ensure that:\n\n(1) All persons selected for jury service are selected at random from a fair cross section of the population of the area served by the court;\n\n(2) All qualified citizens have the opportunity to be considered for jury service;\n\n(3) All qualified citizens fulfill their obligation to serve as jurors when summoned for that purpose; and\n\n(4) No citizen is excluded from jury service in this state as a result of discrimination based upon race, color, religion, sex, national origin, economic status, or military or veteran status.","path":["NE Code","Chapter 25"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=25-1645","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"3984322f1b27281f39552f95a0565ba1c34f693c5d65588736c0d6026c088699","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-25-1644","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-25-1646"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
