Stat. § 25-2728","body":"(1) Any party in a civil case and any defendant in a criminal case may appeal from the final judgment or final order of the county court to the district court of the county where the county court is located. In a criminal case, a prosecuting attorney may obtain review by exception proceedings pursuant to sections 29-2317 to 29-2319 .\n\n(2) Sections 25-2728 to 25-2738 shall not apply to:\n\n(a) Appeals in eminent domain proceedings as provided in sections 76-715 to 76-723 ;\n\n(b) Appeals in proceedings in the county court sitting as a juvenile court as provided in sections 43-2,106 and 43-2,106.01 ;\n\n(c) Appeals in matters arising under the Nebraska Probate Code as provided in section 30-1601 ;\n\n(d) Appeals in matters arising under the Nebraska Uniform Trust Code;\n\n(e) Appeals in matters arising under the Health Care Surrogacy Act as provided in section 30-1601 ;\n\n(f) Appeals in adoption proceedings as provided in section 43-112 ;\n\n(g) Appeals in inheritance tax proceedings as provided in section 77-2023 ; and\n\n(h) Appeals in domestic relations matters as provided in section 25-2739 .","path":["NE Code","Chapter 24"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=25-2728","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"0b2192934a935ff01b1f72637509b6fe14675b086a757a6e772fd5d725025a25","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-25-2727","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-25-2729"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
