Stat. § 28-1103","body":"(1) A person commits the offense of promoting gambling in the second degree if he or she knowingly advances or profits from any unlawful gambling activity by:\n\n(a) Engaging in bookmaking to the extent that he or she receives or accepts in any one day one or more bets totaling less than one thousand five hundred dollars;\n\n(b) Receiving, in connection with any unlawful gambling scheme or enterprise, less than one thousand five hundred dollars of money played in the scheme or enterprise in any one day; or\n\n(c) Betting something of value in an amount of five hundred dollars or more with one or more persons in one day.\n\n(2) Promoting gambling in the second degree is a Class II misdemeanor.","path":["NE Code","Chapter 28"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=28-1103","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"bbd40e647b9e50db819a662be1e8c14eaf3852650b9e09b8e393969a2dfc75be","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-28-1102","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-28-1104"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
