Stat. § 28-526","body":"A person commits the offense of organized retail crime when that person, acting alone or in association with another person, does any of the following:\n\n(1) Knowingly commits an organized retail crime;\n\n(2) Organizes, supervises, finances, or otherwise manages or assists another person in committing an organized retail crime;\n\n(3) Removes, destroys, deactivates, or knowingly evades any component of an antishoplifting or inventory-control device to prevent the activation of that device or to facilitate another person in committing an organized retail crime;\n\n(4) Conspires with another person to commit an organized retail crime;\n\n(5) Receives, purchases, or possesses retail merchandise for sale or resale if a reasonable person would know such retail merchandise to be stolen;\n\n(6) Uses any artifice, instrument, container, device, or other article to facilitate the commission of an organized retail crime; or\n\n(7) Knowingly causes a fire exit alarm to sound or otherwise activate, or deactivates or prevents a fire exit alarm from sounding, in the commission of an organized retail crime or to facilitate the commission of an organized retail crime by another person.","path":["NE Code","Chapter 28"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=28-526","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"d8a1009b4101569de3e45387b539b1f2e5e10b6f93c4134aa70a7ae5930b5e05","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-28-525","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-28-527"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
