Stat. § 29-2248","body":"The association shall:\n\n(1) Encourage development and implementation of uniform criteria for sentencing criminals;\n\n(2) Participate in planning and presenting institutes and seminars for all judges in this state who sentence criminals or juveniles to discuss problems related to sentencing criminals or juveniles;\n\n(3) Participate in planning and presenting orientation programs for new judges, such programs to include discussions of sentencing alternatives, procedures, and purposes;\n\n(4) Visit from time to time correctional facilities of this state;\n\n(5) Encourage creation and development of community resources of value to the probation system;\n\n(6) Conduct such other programs of whatever nature of interest to its members;\n\n(7) Exercise all powers and perform all duties necessary and proper to carry out its responsibilities; and\n\n(8) Participate in planning and presenting institutes and seminars for all county employees who work in the judicial branch of government.","path":["NE Code","Chapter 29"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=29-2248","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"6f4abcd695ef81edd8ff93b6c1ca93c766fdec57f328846a29da7df76259e8fe","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-29-2247","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-29-2249"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
