Stat. § 29-2277","body":"As used in sections 29-2277 to 29-2279 , unless the context otherwise requires:\n\n(1) Agency means any public or governmental unit, institution, division, or agency or any private nonprofit organization which provides services intended to enhance the social welfare or general well-being of the community, which agrees to accept community service from offenders and to supervise and report the progress of such community service to the court or its representative;\n\n(2) Community correctional facility or program has the same meaning as in section 47-621 ; and\n\n(3) Community service means uncompensated labor for an agency to be performed by an offender when the offender is not working or attending school.","path":["NE Code","Chapter 29"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=29-2277","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"d70436dd6cc6b143a35e1dd9e4cb19f43ecfd2d037f7e389864d8fa60f50a58a","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-29-2274","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-29-2278"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
