Stat. § 29-2279","body":"The length of a community service sentence shall be as follows:\n\n(1) Pursuant to section 29-2206 , 29-2208 , or 29-2412 , for an infraction, not less than four nor more than twenty hours;\n\n(2) For a violation of a city ordinance that is an infraction and not pursuant to section 29-2206 , 29-2208 , or 29-2412 , not less than four hours;\n\n(3) For a Class IV or Class V misdemeanor, not less than four nor more than eighty hours;\n\n(4) For a Class III or Class IIIA misdemeanor, not less than eight nor more than one hundred fifty hours;\n\n(5) For a Class I or Class II misdemeanor, not less than twenty nor more than four hundred hours;\n\n(6) For a Class IIIA or Class IV felony, not less than two hundred nor more than three thousand hours; and\n\n(7) For a Class III felony, not less than four hundred nor more than six thousand hours.","path":["NE Code","Chapter 29"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=29-2279","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"10d1f374d068526a0cb2a2b458298f271374edc8b5ebff4a5b849dc863920e09","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-29-2278","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-29-2280"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
