Stat. § 30-2202","body":"(a) This code shall be liberally construed and applied to promote its underlying purposes and policies.\n\n(b) The underlying purposes and policies of this code are:\n\n(1) to simplify and clarify the law concerning the affairs of decedents, missing persons, protected persons, minors, and incapacitated persons;\n\n(2) to discover and make effective the intent of a decedent in distribution of his or her property;\n\n(3) to promote a speedy and efficient system for liquidating the estate of the decedent and making distribution to his or her successors; and\n\n(4) to make uniform the law among the various jurisdictions.","path":["NE Code","Chapter 30"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=30-2202","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"cdc3687e0edfa80648a98e2134a8e2855889cc3a8537697bbbf6c2c59c4eadea","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-30-2201","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-30-2203"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
