Stat. § 30-2729","body":"A financial institution, on request, may pay sums on deposit in an account with a POD designation to:\n\n(1) one or more of the parties, whether or not another party is disabled, incapacitated, or deceased when the payment is requested and whether or not a party survives another party;\n\n(2) the beneficiary or beneficiaries, if proof of death is presented to the financial institution showing that the beneficiary or beneficiaries survived all persons named as parties; or\n\n(3) the personal representative, if any, or, if there is none, the heirs or devisees of a deceased party, if proof of death is presented to the financial institution showing that the deceased party was the survivor of all other persons named on the account either as a party or beneficiary.","path":["NE Code","Chapter 30"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=30-2729","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"39702ee445b3198b3fde88a0a92c70c19995c44f1290f465116edd337f1a35e2","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-30-2728","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-30-2730"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
