Stat. § 30-4619","body":"To the extent a powerholder of a general power of appointment, other than a power to withdraw property from, revoke, or amend a trust, makes an ineffective appointment:\n\n(1) the gift in default clause controls the disposition of the ineffectively appointed property; or\n\n(2) if there is no gift in default clause or to the extent the clause is ineffective, the ineffectively appointed property:\n\n(A) passes to:\n\n(i) the powerholder if the powerholder is a permissible appointee and living; or\n\n(ii) if the powerholder is an impermissible appointee or deceased, the powerholder's estate if the estate is a permissible appointee; or\n\n(B) if there is no taker under subdivision (A) of this subdivision, passes under a reversionary interest to the donor or the donor's transferee or successor in interest.","path":["NE Code","Chapter 30"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=30-4619","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"7e4daad29f041b6d0fc479dfcf9bae3b4149d68992bdd51b11180cbcee7f4eb3","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-30-4618","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-30-4620"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
