Stat. § 30-4621","body":"To the extent a powerholder releases, ineffectively exercises, or fails to exercise a nongeneral power of appointment:\n\n(1) the gift in default clause controls the disposition of the unappointed property; or\n\n(2) if there is no gift in default clause or to the extent the clause is ineffective, the unappointed property:\n\n(A) passes to the permissible appointees if:\n\n(i) the permissible appointees are defined and limited; and\n\n(ii) the terms of the instrument creating the power do not manifest a contrary intent; or\n\n(B) if there is no taker under subdivision (A) of this subdivision, passes under a reversionary interest to the donor or the donor's transferee or successor in interest.","path":["NE Code","Chapter 30"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=30-4621","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"6005df3d73dd8c4d831e3f85b3040465fd436cc2f1ad0b95e944f76e20680a46","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-30-4620","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-30-4622"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
