Stat. § 37-1299","body":"(1) A motorboat is abandoned:\n\n(a) If left unattended for more than seven days on any public property;\n\n(b) If left unattended for more than seven days on private property if left initially without permission of the owner;\n\n(c) If left for more than seven days on private property after permission of the owner is terminated; or\n\n(d) If left for more than thirty days in the custody of a law enforcement agency after the agency has sent a letter to the last-registered owner under section 37-12,102 .\n\n(2) For purposes of this section:\n\n(a) Public property means any public park, waterfront, or other state, county, or municipally owned property; and\n\n(b) Private property means any privately owned property which is not included within the definition of public property.\n\n(3) No motorboat subject to forfeiture under section 28-431 shall be deemed abandoned under this section.","path":["NE Code","Chapter 37"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=37-1299","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"d42233cf5be2cff6a483c4c7aab395d021cdf6149fe6e931669dd7bf1af9a859","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-37-1298","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-37-1301"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
