Stat. § 38-1067","body":"(1) Applicants for Nebraska licensure who received their training in foreign countries may not be licensed by waiver of examination except as provided in section 38-129.01 . In order to be considered eligible to take the examination, they shall meet the requirements of subdivisions (1) and (2) of section 38-1062 and, in order to establish equivalency with subdivision (5) of section 38-1062 , shall present proof satisfactory to the department of one of the following:\n\n(a) Current licensure or equivalent official recognition of the right to practice in a foreign country; or\n\n(b) At least five years of practice within the eight years immediately preceding the application.\n\n(2) In all cases such applicants shall take the examination for licensure in the State of Nebraska.","path":["NE Code","Chapter 38"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=38-1067","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"9072724ce8572cbfa3fd7e3b485e3b03b2c5847857207b0c90458bb3de56fedb","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-38-1066","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-38-1068"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
