Stat. § 38-121","body":"(1) No individual shall engage in the following practices unless such individual has obtained a credential under the Uniform Credentialing Act:\n\n(a) Acupuncture;\n\n(b) Advanced practice nursing;\n\n(c) Alcohol and drug counseling;\n\n(d) Asbestos abatement, inspection, project design, and training;\n\n(e) Athletic training;\n\n(f) Audiology;\n\n(g) Speech-language pathology;\n\n(h) Beginning one year after September 2, 2023, behavior analysis;\n\n(i) Body art;\n\n(j) Chiropractic;\n\n(k) Cosmetology;\n\n(l) Dentistry;\n\n(m) Dental hygiene;\n\n(n) Electrology;\n\n(o) Emergency medical services;\n\n(p) Esthetics;\n\n(q) Funeral directing and embalming;\n\n(r) Genetic counseling;\n\n(s) Hearing instrument dispensing and fitting;\n\n(t) Lead-based paint abatement, inspection, project design, and training;\n\n(u) Licensed practical nurse-certified until November 1, 2017;\n\n(v) Massage therapy;\n\n(w) Medical nutrition therapy;\n\n(x) Medical radiography;\n\n(y) Medicine and surgery;\n\n(z) Mental health practice;\n\n(aa) Nail technology;\n\n(bb) Nursing;\n\n(cc) Nursing home administration;\n\n(dd) Occupational therapy;\n\n(ee) Optometry;\n\n(ff) Osteopathy;\n\n(gg) Perfusion;\n\n(hh) Pharmacy;\n\n(ii) Physical therapy;\n\n(jj) Podiatry;\n\n(kk) Psychology;\n\n(ll) Radon detection, measurement, and mitigation;\n\n(mm) Respiratory care;\n\n(nn) Surgical assisting; and\n\n(oo) Veterinary medicine and surgery.\n\n(2) No individual shall hold himself or herself out as any of the following until such individual has obtained a credential under the Uniform Credentialing Act for that purpose:\n\n(a) Registered environmental health specialist;\n\n(b) Certified marriage and family therapist;\n\n(c) Certified professional counselor;\n\n(d) Certified art therapist;\n\n(e) Social worker; or\n\n(f) Dialysis patient care technician.\n\n(3) No business shall operate for the provision of any of the following services unless such business has obtained a credential under the Uniform Credentialing Act:\n\n(a) Body art;\n\n(b) Cosmetology;\n\n(c) Emergency medical services;\n\n(d) Esthetics;\n\n(e) Funeral directing and embalming;\n\n(f) Massage therapy; or\n\n(g) Nail technology.","path":["NE Code","Chapter 38"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=38-121","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"d68666a7ceb94612f27ece2c0630ce1ae0c0d22915f1c87127193eafbcc2f9a6","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-38-1209","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-38-1210"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
