Stat. § 38-144","body":"(1) The credential of any person who fails, by the expiration date of such credential, to pay the required renewal fee or to submit documentation of continuing competency shall automatically expire without further notice or hearing.\n\n(2) The department shall refuse to renew after notice and opportunity for hearing, the credential of any person who fails, by the expiration date of such credential, to meet the applicable continuing competency requirement for renewal.\n\n(3) Subsections (1) and (2) of this section shall not apply when the credential holder has given notification to the department that he or she desires to have his or her credential expire or be placed on inactive status upon expiration.","path":["NE Code","Chapter 38"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=38-144","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"7946261258a9a7a898e307472fe672821eb83fb129581d3639620b315cc3f697","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-38-1432","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-38-145"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
