Stat. § 38-2211","body":"(1) Practice of nursing by a licensed practical nurse means the assumption of responsibilities and accountability for nursing practice in accordance with knowledge and skills acquired through an approved program of practical nursing. A licensed practical nurse may function at the direction of a licensed practitioner or a registered nurse.\n\n(2) Such responsibilities and performances of acts must utilize procedures leading to predictable outcomes and must include, but not be limited to:\n\n(a) Contributing to the assessment of the health status of individuals and groups;\n\n(b) Participating in the development and modification of a plan of care;\n\n(c) Implementing the appropriate aspects of the plan of care;\n\n(d) Maintaining safe and effective nursing care rendered directly or indirectly;\n\n(e) Participating in the evaluation of response to interventions;\n\n(f) Providing intravenous therapy if the licensed practical nurse meets the requirements of section 38-2237 ; and\n\n(g) Assigning and directing nursing interventions that may be performed by others and that do not conflict with the Nurse Practice Act.","path":["NE Code","Chapter 38"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=38-2211","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"0698f841f4637d9e3b74b628e5b6ff3c28f63b83e8ae68aaa96d93c564b72906","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-38-2210","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-38-2212"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
