Stat. § 38-2318","body":"(1)(a) The department may grant a temporary license to practice as a nurse practitioner for up to one hundred twenty days upon application:\n\n(i) To graduates of an approved nurse practitioner program pending results of the first credentialing examination following graduation;\n\n(ii) To a nurse practitioner lawfully authorized to practice in another state pending completion of the application for a Nebraska license; and\n\n(iii) To applicants for purposes of a reentry program or supervised practice as part of continuing competency activities established by the board.\n\n(b) A temporary license issued pursuant to this subsection may be extended for up to one year with the approval of the board.\n\n(2) An applicant who is a military spouse may apply for a temporary license as provided in section 38-129.01 .","path":["NE Code","Chapter 38"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=38-2318","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"a297440737ea485e335a521d47cfed0aa5c3018fec76b2ff78ccf43aafdbcc1e","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-38-2317","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-38-2319"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
