Stat. § 42-713.02","body":"(a) A tribunal of this state issuing a spousal support order consistent with the law of this state has continuing, exclusive jurisdiction to modify the spousal support order throughout the existence of the support obligation.\n\n(b) A tribunal of this state shall not modify a spousal support order issued by a tribunal of another state or a foreign country having continuing, exclusive jurisdiction over that order under the law of that state or foreign country.\n\n(c) A tribunal of this state that has continuing, exclusive jurisdiction over a spousal support order may serve as:\n\n(1) an initiating tribunal to request a tribunal of another state to enforce the spousal support order issued in this state; or\n\n(2) a responding tribunal to enforce or modify its own spousal support order.","path":["NE Code","Chapter 42"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=42-713.02","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"c686ddfe39762c18920877add4b7bcc237ef5248173416d610053e5c4149fac7","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-42-713.01","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-42-714"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
