Stat. § 42-738","body":"(a) A support order or income withholding order issued in another state or a foreign support order is registered when the order is filed in the registering tribunal of this state.\n\n(b) A registered support order issued in another state or a foreign country is enforceable in the same manner and is subject to the same procedures as an order issued by a tribunal of this state.\n\n(c) Except as otherwise provided in the Uniform Interstate Family Support Act, a tribunal of this state shall recognize and enforce, but shall not modify, a registered support order if the issuing tribunal had jurisdiction.","path":["NE Code","Chapter 42"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=42-738","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"f73837fbecc189f17782237c4185a7322842acdb828c28b1f8ee1efc2746fc13","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-42-737","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-42-739"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
