Stat. § 43-2402","body":"For purposes of the Juvenile Services Act:\n\n(1) Coalition means the Nebraska Coalition for Juvenile Justice established pursuant to section 43-2411 ;\n\n(2) Commission means the Nebraska Commission on Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice;\n\n(3) Commission Grant Program means grants provided to eligible applicants under section 43-2406 ;\n\n(4) Community-based Juvenile Services Aid Program means aid to counties and federally recognized or state-recognized Indian tribes provided under section 43-2404.02 ;\n\n(5) Eligible applicant means a community-based agency or organization, political subdivision, school district, federally recognized or state-recognized Indian tribe, or state agency necessary to comply with the federal act;\n\n(6) Federal act means the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974, 42 U.S.C. 5601 et seq., as the act existed on January 1, 2013;\n\n(7) Juvenile means a person who is under eighteen years of age; and\n\n(8) Office of Juvenile Services means the Office of Juvenile Services created in section 43-404 .","path":["NE Code","Chapter 43"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=43-2402","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"1de72115ef4a63c2ac5d549efdb9b3063aa741b4d707b811ea90adeded365195","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-43-2401","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-43-2403"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
