Stat. § 43-260.05","body":"A juvenile pretrial diversion program may:\n\n(1) Provide screening services to the court and county attorney or city attorney to help identify likely candidates for the program;\n\n(2) Establish goals for diverted juvenile offenders and monitor performance of the goals;\n\n(3) Coordinate chemical dependency assessments of diverted juvenile offenders when indicated, make appropriate referrals for treatment, and monitor treatment and aftercare;\n\n(4) Coordinate individual, group, and family counseling services;\n\n(5) Oversee the payment of victim restitution by diverted juvenile offenders;\n\n(6) Assist diverted juvenile offenders in identifying and contacting appropriate community resources;\n\n(7) Coordinate educational services to diverted juvenile offenders to enable them to earn a high school diploma or general education development diploma; and\n\n(8) Provide accurate information on how diverted juvenile offenders perform in the program to the juvenile courts, county attorneys, city attorneys, defense attorneys, and probation officers.","path":["NE Code","Chapter 43"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=43-260.05","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"b9dbff3789d662754d8218156df788a15abd16977bf94ebdf3f182c98df1db78","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-43-260.04","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-43-260.06"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
