Stat. § 43-2628","body":"For purposes of the Child Care Capacity Building and Workforce Act:\n\n(1) Capacity means the number of children receiving care or services through an approved program;\n\n(2) Community foundation means a tax-exempt, nonprofit, autonomous, nonsectarian, philanthropic institution supported by the public with the long-term goals of:\n\n(a) Building permanent, component funds established by many separate donors to carry out charitable interests; and\n\n(b) Supporting the broad-based charitable interests and benefiting the residents of a defined geographic area;\n\n(3) Department means the Department of Economic Development;\n\n(4) Eligible recipient means:\n\n(a) Any city of the metropolitan class, city of the primary class, city of the first class, city of the second class, village, or county;\n\n(b) Any nonprofit organization, including any community foundation; or\n\n(c) Any other entity determined appropriate in rules and regulations adopted and promulgated by the department;\n\n(5) License-exempt provider means any approved license-exempt provider enrolled in the child care subsidy program pursuant to sections 68-1202 and 68-1206 ;\n\n(6) Licensed child care program means a program described in section 71-1911 ; and\n\n(7) Regional facilitator hub means any entity that provides administrative and technical support to any licensed child care program, including any:\n\n(a) Nonprofit organization; or\n\n(b) Community foundation.","path":["NE Code","Chapter 43"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=43-2628","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"399ef7f190c7a0e02e6d6a1b9a9d309cf08f639fac684a516abc949c92b94221","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-43-2627","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-43-2629"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
