Stat. § 43-3801","heading":"Purpose of sections.","body":"(1) The purpose of sections 43-3801 to 43-3812 is to protect foreign national minors or minors having multiple nationalities within the State of Nebraska.\n(2) The Legislature recognizes that:\n(a) Foreign national minors and minors having multiple nationalities are essential to the maintenance of their culture, traditions, and values;\n(b) The governments of foreign countries have a duty to care for the interests of their nationals and citizens abroad, particularly foreign national minors and minors having multiple nationalities;\n(c) The governments of foreign countries have the right to information and access in all cases involving minors who are children of foreign nationals and minors having multiple nationalities; and\n(d) The state should be able to identify foreign national minors and minors having multiple nationalities and their families in order to provide services for them.","path":["Chapter 43 - INFANTS AND JUVENILES"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=43-3801","current_through":"Laws 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-10-18T05:59:02Z","sha256":"e03240bbce6ba813c4437539558ff842e9ce5387f9d0766d2a15660b0b45be21","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-43-3720","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-43-3802"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
