Stat. § 43-3802","body":"For purposes of sections 43-3801 to 43-3812 :\n\n(1) Agency means the agency in a foreign country charged with ensuring the welfare of minors who are nationals of that country or who have multiple nationalities in that country and the United States;\n\n(2) Custodian means the nonparental caretaker of a foreign national minor or minor having multiple nationalities who has been entrusted by the parent of the minor with the day-to-day care of the minor;\n\n(3) Department means the Department of Health and Human Services;\n\n(4) Foreign national minor means an unmarried person who is under the age of eighteen years and was born in a country other than the United States; and\n\n(5) Minor having multiple nationalities means an unmarried person who is under the age of eighteen years and who holds citizenship simultaneously in the United States and one other country.","path":["NE Code","Chapter 43"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=43-3802","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"0dc0a40deeeba4ede681ed61b817808cc0884af8d047030fb3f12c1dcfe78eda","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-43-3801","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-43-3803"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
