Stat. § 44-5231.01","body":"Bona fide association means, with respect to health insurance coverage offered in this state, an association that meets the following conditions:\n\n(1) Has been actively in existence for at least five years;\n\n(2) Has been formed and maintained in good faith for purposes other than obtaining insurance;\n\n(3) Does not condition membership in the association on a health-status-related factor of an individual, including an employee or a dependent of any employee;\n\n(4) Makes health insurance coverage offered through the association available to any member regardless of a health-status-related factor of the member or individual eligible for coverage through a member; and\n\n(5) Does not make available health insurance coverage offered through the association other than in connection with a member of the association.","path":["NE Code","Chapter 44"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=44-5231.01","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"e2e1d22cfc22bb425e35b70f0188c0af3a470d44ea2638f3b4e697579be91450","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-44-5230","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-44-5232"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
