Stat. § 46-1,159","heading":"Merger of districts; election; notice; contents.","body":"The election notice shall:\n(1) State that the election has been called for the purpose of affording the electors an opportunity to approve or reject the plan of merger;\n(2) Contain a description of the boundary of the proposed district;\n(3) Contain a statement giving a summary of the reason for the proposed merger including a summary of the terms on which the merger is to be made, and the amount of outstanding indebtedness of each district;\n(4) State the equitable adjustments of all property, debts and liabilities among the districts involved;\n(5) State the name of the proposed district;\n(6) Contain such other matters as are set out in the merger plan;\n(7) Specify the time of holding the election; and\n(8) Name the directors of the districts to be merged who shall constitute the first board of directors of the new district.","path":["Chapter 46 - IRRIGATION AND REGULATION OF WATER"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=46-1,159","current_through":"Laws 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-17T21:01:11Z","sha256":"cc6c5c195b41fbb042fb92e55f3ea3a8e2b7e388629fc3b4f69850860ae4eddf","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-46-1-158","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-46-1-160"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
