Stat. § 48-2902","body":"For purposes of the Employee Classification Act:\n\n(1) Commissioner means the Commissioner of Labor;\n\n(2) Construction has the same meaning as in section 48-2103 ;\n\n(3) Contractor means an individual, partnership, limited liability company, corporation, or other business entity engaged in a delivery service or a construction contractor business, as contractor is defined in section 48-2103 , and includes any subcontractor performing services for a contractor;\n\n(4) Delivery service means the transport and delivery of goods, products, supplies, or raw materials upon the highways of this state;\n\n(5) Department means the Department of Labor; and\n\n(6) Performing services means the performance of construction labor or delivery services for remuneration.","path":["NE Code","Chapter 48"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=48-2902","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"52ce0108672dddc346fe851e7ee8b201e5ad891982289740cd6843f3af34b659","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-48-2901","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-48-2903"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
