Stat. § 49-1445","body":"(1) A candidate shall form a candidate committee upon raising, receiving, or expending more than five thousand dollars in a calendar year.\n\n(2) A candidate committee may consist of one member with the candidate being the member.\n\n(3) A person who is a candidate for more than one office shall form a candidate committee for an office upon raising, receiving, or expending more than five thousand dollars in a calendar year for that office.\n\n(4) Two or more candidates who campaign as a slate or team for public office shall form a committee upon raising, receiving, or expending jointly in any combination more than five thousand dollars in a calendar year.\n\n(5) The fee to file for office shall not be included in determining if a candidate has raised, received, or expended more than five thousand dollars in a calendar year.\n\n(6) Any person who violates this section shall be guilty of a Class IV misdemeanor.","path":["NE Code","Chapter 49"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=49-1445","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"a20eeb5d1cd9403b7d7d7043cd0d6c3b5e7f23ea2bba6617637ecc9c5aee7683","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-49-1444","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-49-1446"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
