Stat. § 54-648","body":"No refund or reimbursement of fees or replacement of a pet animal under section 54-647 shall be required if one or more of the following conditions exist:\n\n(1) The serious health problem or death of the pet animal resulted from maltreatment, neglect, or injury occurring after delivery of the pet animal to the purchaser;\n\n(2) Any written disclosure statements provided by a seller pursuant to subsection (2) of section 54-646 disclosed the serious health problem for which the purchaser is seeking a remedy; or\n\n(3) The purchaser failed to follow through with preventative care, including, but not limited to, vaccinations, deworming treatment, or medication, recommended by a licensed veterinarian examining the pet animal.","path":["NE Code","Chapter 54"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=54-648","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"44c850477e36a4adc2556cc7c91c4ad771002d0831744f08f30c528fbfbbf597","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-54-647","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-54-649"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
