Stat. § 58-864","body":"The authority may:\n\n(1) Make loans to private institutions of higher education to assist such institutions in providing loans to their full-time students to assist them in financing the cost of their education while taking courses leading to an academic degree;\n\n(2) Participate in the financing of such loans;\n\n(3) Sell or participate in the sale of such loans;\n\n(4) Collect and pay reasonable fees and charges in connection with the exercise of the powers provided in subdivisions (1) through (3) of this section;\n\n(5) Do all things necessary and convenient to carry out the purposes of this section and section 58-865 in connection with the administering of such loans, including contracting with any person, firm, or other body, public or private;\n\n(6) Enter into any agreements necessary to effect the guarantee, insuring, or administering of such loans;\n\n(7) Adopt and promulgate rules and regulations governing and establish standards for participation in the Nebraska Student Loan Assistance Program; and\n\n(8) Exercise all powers incidental to or necessary for the performance of the powers authorized by this section.","path":["NE Code","Chapter 58"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=58-864","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"4b8b5ef3bb03ff9ae6c29f055b705f06e12153e3460d16e8b721b9943d85b2d0","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-58-863","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-58-865"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
