Stat. § 60-6,156","heading":"Pedestrians on highways and roadways; sidewalks and shoulders.","body":"(1) Where a sidewalk is provided and its use is practicable, it shall be unlawful for any pedestrian to walk along and upon an adjacent roadway or shoulder.\n(2) Where a sidewalk is not available and a shoulder is available, any pedestrian walking along and upon a highway shall walk only on the shoulder as far as practicable from the edge of the roadway.\n(3) Where neither a sidewalk nor a shoulder is available, any pedestrian who walks along and upon a highway shall walk as near as practicable to the edge of the roadway and, if on a two-way roadway, shall walk only on the left side of such roadway.","path":["Chapter 60 - MOTOR VEHICLES"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=60-6,156","current_through":"Laws 2026","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-17T21:01:11Z","sha256":"0726ecd6efddc5487f4855285a344c349b51e9b92688e08f5b17b83cd7f051e6","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-60-6-155","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-60-6-157"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
