Stat. § 60-614.02","body":"Class I electric bicycle means a device with the following components:\n\n(1) Two, three, or four wheels;\n\n(2) A saddle or seat for the rider;\n\n(3) Fully operative pedals for propulsion by human power; and\n\n(4) An electric motor:\n\n(a) Not exceeding seven hundred fifty watts of power;\n\n(b) That produces no more than one brake horsepower;\n\n(c) Capable of propelling the bicycle at a maximum design speed of no more than twenty miles per hour on level ground;\n\n(d) That only provides power when the rider is pedaling; and\n\n(e) That does not provide power if the electric bicycle is traveling at a speed of more than twenty miles per hour.","path":["NE Code","Chapter 60"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=60-614.02","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"9e491b39ccffeea3b69f7e5de4b354b2930cdb32db0ea471e5a361310816eb57","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-60-614.01","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-60-614.03"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
