Stat. § 68-2303","body":"(1) The department shall only fund a home visitation program that includes periodic home visits to improve the health, well-being, and self-sufficiency of parents and their children.\n\n(2) A home visitation program funded by the State of Nebraska shall provide visits by nurses, social workers, and other early childhood and health professionals or trained and supervised lay workers.\n\n(3) A home visitation program funded by the State of Nebraska shall accomplish one or more of the following:\n\n(a) Improve maternal, infant, or child health outcomes including reducing preterm births;\n\n(b) Promote positive parenting practices;\n\n(c) Build healthy parent and child relationships;\n\n(d) Enhance social and emotional development;\n\n(e) Support cognitive development;\n\n(f) Improve the health and well-being of the family;\n\n(g) Empower families toward economic self-sufficiency;\n\n(h) Reduce child maltreatment and injury; and\n\n(i) Increase school readiness.","path":["NE Code","Chapter 68"],"source_url":"https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=68-2303","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:21Z","sha256":"ce57f2fe3cd475ff2bb12973c016861aa643c33ab1973a98a323524d9558900e","source_id":"us-ne","stale":false,"prev":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-68-2302","next":"us-ne/neb.-rev.-stat.-68-2304"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
